Not the best choice for a street motor. Especially one with a hybrid setup (Iron block/aluminum head).

Unless he's going to O-ring it, it's not a good idea.

Just my $.02 - ymmv.

agreed.
i have read that this type of gasket has been attempted by a few supra members with poor results.

Its best to change to a hks, cometic, greddy or even a stocker.

Even o-ringed, the longevity of this gasket would be questionable at best with the 7M. The bores on the 7M are damned near Siamesed and if you think steel has a hard time blowing out between the cylinders, imagine soft copper.

Overall just a horrible idea for these cars.

^^^I would listen to these guys, they're some of the smartest people I know. There's some info out there about the copper gaskets, but I've never heard anything good about them and the 7m. Most of what I've read indicates that they're used more for race engines. I would suggest a stocker or mhg to be safe. Unless you want to be the one to figure out how to make it work on a 7m :)

copper for the street is horrbile

imagine copper spark plugs and how often you change that.. now move that to the head gasket ;)

The reason drag teams use copper gaskets. They seal well but if something blows they want the 300 dollar gasket to fail not the $10,000 heads ;)
