Hey guys!!!! i have a quesion about the IC pipes from Cooleeze. I bought a used set from a guy here on the forum and I am experiencing some fitment issues. I am pretty sure the guy had them on his 89 and i have an 87. Are the pipes from cooleeze different from 89 to 87??? The turbo to intercooler pipes fit perfectly, but the U pipe (through fender) to the pipe that connects to the intercooler doesn't even look like it is meant for my car at all. Any input is appreciated......thanks :icon_bigg

on the cooleeze auctions they have on eBay, you have to let them know what year your car is cuz i'm pretty sure the 87 is different than the 89.

87-88 I/C outlet is slightly different than 89-92 ....you can see here the bottom i/c is from a 89+ car and the Cartech is made for 87-8 fittiment

My cousin had the same problem with his 87 turbo. We didn't know the difference at the time, when ended up having to cut off like 6-10 inches off the bottom of the cooleeze pipes to make them fit.

BTW, they are goin to be a pretty tight fit no matter what. Where ever you end up connecting the last ic hose on the cold side it will be a major PITA as this is a very tight fitting kit.

they are nice pipes, but i wasnt too happy with the silicon coupling that were supplied with the kit. the outlet of the turbo and IC are both 2" but the couplings are 2.25" and dont provide a good seal.

Just some reducer couplings. The ones we had fit just right except for the pipe that we cut, we had to get a reducer for that one.

where did you find reducer couplings??? Because I am pretty sure I will need two. Turbo to IC and fender pipe to IC because if i remember correctly both inlets on the IC are 2". Anways, yeah It is gonna be a PITA to get that shit installed! :icon_mad: Thanks for the input guys!!!! Atleast now i know what the hell i need to do. :icon_bigg
