Coolant

Hi gus, I have to flush the coolant on the supra I recently bought because I intended upon it since I didnt know what was in there.

Anyways, the other day I took the rad cap off and started the car and I noticed the coolant was foaming, if I left the car on it would have kept going and overflowed foam on the rad. I took the car off and I didnt see or smell any oil, but I squeezed the top hose and I pumped of a milky cloud of something to the top. I diluted it somwhat with some water and each time I squeezes there was more and more of the milky cloud of stuff coming up.

I wanted to know if there was a calcium deposit?? Does it sound like anything serious or should I not worry since I'm doing a flush and refill? Thanks.

yea, in no way should your coolant be foaming...

Check your overflow tank. Does it have a nice oily slime covering the walls? If so, you've got oil in the coolant = BHG.

I didnt check the overflow tank, and I will. I first thought it was a BHG but I guess I've been denying it...lol. Well I might head over there today to do the brakes, I'll check it out.

Check to see if you've got coolant in the oil - looks like chocolate milk. If so, don't drive the car

You'll fix your BHG then shortly after get rod knock. Your bearings don't like coolant.

I just changed the oil and didnt see any coolant and no oil floating at the top of the rad, that's why I'm denying it still :icon_razz ... but I think a BHG might be headed my way. :icon_conf

My headgasket blew and I had no coolant in my oil. I did have alot of oil in my coolant though.
