coolant temp gauge doesnt want to work =[

the coolant temp gauge on my dash stopped working....
i noticed the wire broke inside the connector, and the coolant temp sensor sender no longer was good
so, i replaced the sensor with a new one from toyota and replaced the connector with a spade connector and soldered it together, but still doesnt want to read on my dash

can anyone help with this problem dont know wat to do from here???

do you have the electronic gauge?
I had a similar issue with my 89 GT. you need to make sure the sender unit puts out the right resistance.
drop he sender into some hot water and measure the change.

See if your getting a signal at the pinout at the ECU. Could be another bad spot in the wiring somewhere else.
