So last night I took the car out for a short drive. All of a sudden I start to smell coolant. I keep driving while keeping an eye on the engine temp & oil pressure. Everything stayed normal. I called it a night and head home. I pop hood in garage and just smell steaming coolant and white smoke is everywhere. I couldn't see much because it was dark. So this morning I try to duplicate the situation. I turn the car on and let it come up to operating temp. I hear the hissing sound but the car still wasn't making the white smoke out the engine bay. I turn of the car then the show begins. Steaming coolant was coming from the area underneath the auto transmission filler container. I couldn't really see to well. I put a hose to my ear and stuck it down to try and get a feel of where it was coming from (wasn't from the turbo coolant feed nor return lines). It sounded like it was coming from the radiator hose but the area wasn't wet and i didn't notice and visual damage to the hose. I'm freaking lost right now. There is not any coolant in oil or the other way around. The car is not overheating either.

Any help is appreciated.

Check the hose that runs from the heater union on the back of the head to the heater control valve on the firewall passenger side. May be leaking and running down your hot down pipe. Mine popped off before.

[RESOLVED] It was the little "L" pipe that goes from I believe the water pump to the t-housing. I got so down. It seems like it is one thing after another. I think i'm going to stick it out with this car though. I'm sure some of you have been in the same position. Thanks for the help guys/gals.

Bri7man: I'm going to look into that also. Change the hose before it does become a issue.
