The coolant and water prolly seperated and then with colder temps prolly crystallized. Could also be stop leak if it was ever used. Best to get as much as you could out,
Fyi green coolant blows balls. USe toyota red. There is also some other stuff you can use like benz coolant which iirc is a tad cheaper. There is also some other different things to use which i have forgotten but tis around here somewhere.

was tap water used?
most manufactures use g-05, toyo, benz, bmw etc.. all g-05 with different color additives. You can get g-05 at napa for $12-15 a gallon.
