Coolant Bypass Hose

Trying to make a Coolant bypass hose for my new turbo setup. however Need to know what size goes into the coolant neck.

This is what i'm trying to emulate. and need to figure out what the Earls fitting is there.

Take the things that screw in there to a hardware store and match up the threads.

you are right, but that still doesn't tell anyone what the thread pitch is for either. most probably 1.25, but aaron told me the top one was NPT.

plug it, great, bypass hose, great, but what's the size and pitch?

i asked him through a pm, and he told me the top was AN and the bottom was metric.

i called around and found out the top is 1/4 NPT

my mind is running all over the place. i'm trying to find metric fittings for the bottome one to -6 AN

Banjo bolt thread size is M12 X 1.25

No, the bypass is needed! The N/A uses a bypass while the Turbo model uses the turbo as the bypass. The coolant has to flow through that in some way.

This is why you loop the lines instead of plugging, or you can use the N/A waterneck as I mentioned.

I plugged those two ports when I swapped my aftermarket oil / coolant cooled Turbonetics turbo to a PT61.
I bought the appropriate 1/4 BSP plug from McMaster
I also went to Autozone to purchase a 14mm X 1.5mm replacement oil plug for ~$2.90. The plug thread length was about 12 - 15mm in length and the package included a nylon washer. I instead used a 14mm copper crush washer. This is the cleanest and simplest solution I mention to everyone installing a non water cooled turbo.
BSP plug goes to the top of the waterjacket. 14mm plug goes to the old turbo water return port.
