Cool spark pic

I took this a while back. I wanted to see if I could see the difference in spark from a stock ignition to a capacitive ignition add on (MSD, Crane, etc).


Pic 1 is the stock ignition at long exposure. You can see 2 sparks.

Pic 2 is the capacitive ignition box added. Notice the multiple sparks in the same amount of time.

this was on a 5MGE, the 7MGE spark may differ

Yeah, MSD claims multiple discharges at low RPM.

How can that not blow more gas up in there???? All we need is more o2.

May as well say octane also.

Not only multiple spark, but a longer spark duration, and quite a bit more energy as well.

I'm not trying to sell anything. I just thought it was cool to see the "multiple spark" in action.

When my 7MGE is done, I will try the same test.
