Fox did an updated story last night saying there was a call to police from a neighbor reporting an alligator sighting. Then police called the Department of Conservation and the story goes that the Department of Conservation advised police that if the alligator is found to simply "shoot it in the head". Maybe because KCMO isn't known for it's alligators, shooting it was the favorable option. Police were said to have called and apologized to the owner of the gator. The owner has garnered some noteriety in KC, getting recognized at the local hardware store as "that alligator guy".
