compression check

so i checked my compression last week, i just poped off the cord on the elec. ignition and poped my tester in the spark plug holes and cranked a few turns. well i got like 160-170 on all of em...
but then another guy came by and said to bearly crank it once, and thats how your sapposed to check it... so im wondering what the right way is.. if i do it the way he said to... im only getting like 90's then...

Throttle Open

Booster battery connected

Crank 2>3 turns on each cylinder until you don't see the needle on the gauge move any higher.

oops... didnt have thr throttle open... or the battery connected... or the injectors unplugged for that matter... BUT i still got a good reading.... and i thought that dipwad was a dipwad..


next Q.... how will my numbers be affected by doing it the RIGHT way? better numbers? or....worse numbers?

geez.. i dunno how much better the numbers can get for an engine with 145k on it.....
