compresion test went real bad

i did a compresion test on a 7mgte that was extreamly poorly rebuild by a horable mecanic.cylinder 1-4 were at 180 and cylinder 5 was all the way at 300 and number 6 was at 240 ish.those numbers sound bad..do you guys think its got something to do with a piston or valve? i guessing its worse than a bhg,but the car did overheat one time. any advice would help.thanx

what do yo belive i did wrong?im new to this my frend was helping me he knows a lil more than me but is far from being pro like u guys.lol.i screwed in the teser well and started at one and whent all the way to 6.are those numbers to crazy to be posable?thank you

Fully charged battery with a spare+ Jumper leads

All plugs out

Throttle @ 100%

Crank for 3>4 compression strokes on each cylinder

Write down the result 0 guage on the tester and repeat for each cylinder.

300 isn't reality no idea how that came up.

ok that makes me feel better.what do you mean by Throttle @ 100%?? floor the gas when i crank the car? sorry to ask such dumb questions,but im nowhere near mecanicly inclined

Yes, I'd disconnect the EFI fuse as well.

i did pull the fuse,but i will re test tommrow.what does the tester usualy say with a bhg? ballpark figure. did the 180 sound bout right?

no milk under oil cap.the turbo has been smoking also.im asuming the seals in it are going bad.but other then that i dont see any.idles fine.i did notice some oil in my throtle body though

ya.got exhaust manifold off.doing intake manfold on monday if we got time.also there was oil puddles in the valleys wher spark pugs were.i swear the mecanic put my motor together with a cressent wrench.the coolent in the cylinder would be from a bhg correct?i dont have oil floaties n my radiator though.

i bet thats what happened they did a horable job on my car and i bet he didnt torque anything.just got my cash and ran.i know its totaly off subject but ive searched and cant find whats the diffrence between a stoper or bead type head gasket?whitch would be best for a daily driver.i see where to figure out the thickness but not that part.thanx agian
