Ok some one take a swing at this please =)

XFX n force 590 mobo / onboard audio
Ultra Grid mid tower case

Front audio ports did not work.
unplugged pins from mobo, and replugged it in while the comp was on and booted into windows.
worked
restarted
does not work
is there a way to fix this? or do i have to unplug the shit in every time?
i dont really want to have to go behind the comp all the time for headphones. =\

How is it set up on the case?
Is it actual pins you plug in? or is it basicly an extension of the audio cords to the front of the PC that you plug into the audio ports into the back of the MB?

Get an extention cable then. :icon_bigg

Actually, I got a thing that goes into a slot that tells me the temp of the cpu and the case temp and moved all my ports to the front (audio/mic/w/e the other is, USB, Firewire, and another one.....) for like $15 like 4 years ago.

Can I ask why you were working on the PC while it was booted up?

Seems like you were kind of asking for some sort of failure...
