Common Antenna?

Do our cars share an antenna with any other Toyota model fromt his time period? Ive been jumping junkyards and checking the import section and seeeing lots of Celicas with the power antennas.

Does anyone know for sure if another will fit?

The part numbers may not match up but you can look at the same time frame of camry's for identical parts. I found a good antenna in a older camry and managed to make a working antenna out of it by just changing out the mast and a couple of other parts. It all depends on whats wrong with yours. Motors are similiar, power connections are different but can easily be figured out and adapted. The mounting of it is the only real difference between all those antenna's. Take your old one to the yard with you and some tools and you may find what you need.

I had ought to remove mine to figure out exactly is wrong. All I know is the tip is missing and the motor whirrs and whirrs untill it should be down. Ill figure out how to get it off.

ive got the antenna out of my 88 you could buy.

the only thing... i don't know about is... the actual antenna part that comes out is broken off at the base. the motor and contorl box should work.
