All I want to know is if it is beneficial to anneal their metal headgaskets prior to reuse? And if so, what type of steels they use, what temp, and how long?

Cheers.

IJ, you're the only one out there that's talked about annealing so I'm hoping you have some constructive imput.

annealing is usually done on copper to make it soft. copper hg's need to be annealed before reuse.
Cometic's you use straight out the box.

Soup: Nope not needed on a steel MHG.

Strip ALL of the Flourine Rubber coating off then remove the rivets clean well in between the layers spray the top and bottom with Copper spray and lay it on the dowel pins to align it all in order!
