im about to pick up a spare motor to have built while i enjoy driving my car and was wondering if anyone in the colorado springs area (denver or pueblo would be ok to, i wouldnt mind shipping it out of state but would rather not have to pay the cost) knew of a machine shop they would trust to work on a 7m? i dont want to go through the pain of picking of shop that may treat my engine like a domestic if i dont have to.

anyone have any experience with the shops around here?

Theres a place that im going to take my head to get checked and they have done lots of supra heads, but they dont do bottom end work but they have someone that does it for them. Its called "Heads by drew" on airport blvd in aurora. He does good work and has really good rates. Gildorf that used to live here also recommends a place called "The engine shop" in longmont. Where he took his motor to. That was another choice for me also.

I'll hopefully be looking for a shop in the colorado area soon as well.

Unfortunately I dont have hardly any references as far as 7m work goes. I'll be watching this thread for any recommendations.

Same here, I have not heard of any local shops qualified to work on the supra. I would talk to Kaizen Motorsports (vendor here on SM), and ship it out to someone that knows supras.

good to see some fellow supra owners in CO. especially jimi, being in the same area and all....

damn, nerfkhat i read your post yesterday and was like sweet! theres a shop on airport! then i reread it today after not finding it and realized there is appearently also a road names airport in aurora.....i hate colorado roads....go under an intersection and youve just hit a new road. and appearently they name roads the same in different cities.....

and jimi i just checked your build thread cause i noticed the 87 in your name and wondered if you were the silver 87 i had seen a summer back that looked enough like mine i almost broke my neck thinking mine got stolen...and i believe it might be lol.

Thanks man, it probably was me, that was the last time I had her out on the road was around last summer, and soon to be back once again. So don't call the cops on me for stealing your car :icon_razz

I'm also glad to see some more local supra owners are around here.
