Damn, it's been a LONG time since I've used any math that complex.

IIRC, you can pull the x^5 from the top and the bottom, leaving you with:

The 5th root of (2x^3y^3/9)

Nothing else is evenly divisible 5 times, so that's as far as it will simplify.

Holy crap.. those next ones are just an exercise in futility. Looks like a question where the instructor is essentially making you write an essay and hoping that you copy something wrong halfway down the page. Just the first bit:

(3x + 1)^9 translates into an equation 10 elements long.

I must be forgetting a shortcut... or a dirty trick. :(

I said something similar over on SF. You end up being able to pull out
(3x+1)^8 out of both sides and some other stuff cancels. It's all about reduction, but I can't remember too much beyond that anymore. Apparantly the solution I came up with incorrect anyway. :dunno:

Check SF, I just realized the error of my ways.

Shit I screwed up too.

[16*(x - x^3)] / (x^2 + 4)^16 for no 4.

Too little, too late. Boo on me.

It still wasn't exactly how they show it, so it still would have been wrong but you can see it is the same.

edit:
That first one is no better than what either I or Grim said, they just had a whole fraction instead of a decimal, shitty.

i hope youre not planning on taking any math classes more advanced than this one. those problems are basic college algebra.
