COLD start and SHUTTING offf

hi guys and girls...my name is Mohammed...i just joined this forum becaus ei just got my MKIII NA with 155k but really clean on the inside...well lately i dunno why...but every morning when i come to start the car...it takes a while.....and when it does crank and try to start and i give it gas...it auto matically dies out....why does it die after i give it gas???? soo when its offf i pump the accelraton pedal...to get some fuel going and then start it and ...it starts to idle fine..but why does it die when i push the gas ??? some one please help..thankss

If your'e having problems with cold start in Arizona.., hell must be freezing over. I forget what it's called this morning.., But there is a cold start plug or wire. Someone with more intelligence in the situation soon. Break out your tsrm and look up ignition. It should have exactlly the things you are looking for.

Pumping the peddle on fuel injected cars does NOT do anything to help. Just turn the key, and it should start and idle per the computer. Sounds like you may have a TPS issue. Possibly AFM.
