NO... Do you know how much a filter ruins airflow?!
It causes all sorts of turbulence, and so on... I don't want to get into that, though... Since you apparently have no idea...

You don't need a filter when your motor is hydro locked.

No offence to you supradupra1990, I don't think you will have a problem with it. (just don't drive through large puddles, or in heavy down poors)

I think it was a link on drjonez website that had results of the Apex, K&N, Blitz, and HKS. I remember seeing a website with all the filters tested and proven for their truness in quality. The Apexi was #1. I'll try to find the link

I have seen that test. The Apexi just sucked in less dirt then all the other one, don't remember it saying less turbulance......

I was actually thinking of doing this. but not going all the way to the ground. I wanted to put it just under the head light and make a plexi box in the normal area to help keep air out.

The Apexi was designed to reduce turbulence. Weather it works or not, I don't care. I'm not racing around on a formula1 circuit, and I bet you aren't either. Sometimes I think that people on here think that they are F1 drivers and are soo concerned about little things like a bit of turbulence or sheading aboput 200lbs of a car that weighs enough anyways. Is there a noticeable difference, not enough that it is worth doing it. In short, I wouldn't risk putting no filter on my car and risk damage in the long run because I think that an aftermarket filter has too much turbulence. What would the difference be in a 1/4 mile, maybe 0.0001 sec. with the filter.

I do have a air filter on the end of the pipe i said it was a cheap ebay filter (came with intake) i dont have the intake all the way to the ground its barely where my right side fog light used to be..having water sucked up is a bad thing even though its usually sunny here in the bay area any way im planning on getting a outerwears prefilter goes around the filter and keeps water and your filter from getting dirty quik heres a link to the ebay autcion i got the intake from

Don't mean to be rude, but this is old news. There's a couple NA people who have used this kit already and posted about it (On SF tho).

I have mine routed into the exact same spot, been like that as long as I can remember. It works pretty good.

And as far as u guys comparing the filters, it doesn't make NEARLY as big of a difference on the NA since it isn't sucking in as much air. Paying over $100 for an apexi filter that will give u maybe 1 hp over a cheap K&N cone, or even just a generic one.

When you're turbo, u need a good cone filter, when ur NA, u need a cone filter.
