Coilovers vs. Aftermarket Springs & Shocks

This question may have been asked before my time here on the forum. If it has I apologize ahead of time. Has anyone felt the ride of both coilovers & eibachs springs with aftermarket shocks for our cars? If so which one felt better around corners and also on the highway? I'm torn right now to which one to get. I'm leaning towards Coilovers but i'm concerned of losing, what I feel as a sweet comfortable ride the stock shocks and springs give. I just want to get the best system that will provide the best ride and yet give decent cornering and handling. Not to mention a meaner stance. HELP!

Like springs, each coilover system will ride differently. The plushest coilovers are the HKS hipermax II's, and they ride as well as the stock springs (but handle much better).

My car has a Bilstein shock/Eibach spring combo...my buddies has Tein coilovers...I perfer the feel of his car better. Mine is bouncy, whereas his feels firmer and more planted.

This is an interesting thread. Id like to hear more opinions as I am torn between the same decision.

i *think* the tein SS coilovers give a nice ride, as well as better handling than most aftermarket springs.

Yeah, I've been thinking about pulling my eibach/KYBs and selling them, then getting some TIENs...

jake if youre car is on eibachs then someone cut them....no way eibachs drop the car as much as yours is....

on that note...ill take them for 20 bucks

I'm probably getting the universals w/ a spring rate of 21kg in the front and 16kg in the back w/ koni yellows.
