I have a very rough idle. I am doing research to see what it could be and everyone mentions a ground wire from the coil pack to the head. My car never had this. I found one pic but it didn't show exactly where the wire hooked up. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I can't look at where the original was.

I modified mine...14 guage and made it longer so I could ground it on the manifold with the rest of the grounding wires.

not the worst idea ever. i ran without one for a long time. actually, because i never had one, and it was broken off clean inside the harness, so i didn't know i was supposed to have one.
ran fine.

Not having a ground for high voltage electrics (like coils) is not a good thing. You might get away with it, but sooner or later the electrics grimlin is gonna get ya ;)

I ran an extra ground wire off of the coil pack as well as replacing the original one with thicker gauge wire.

It attaches on the coil mounting plate on the drivers side, just forward of the right coil. There's a small hole for the screw.

It is just a field ground for the metal plate that holds the coils and has nothing to do with the coils. I have run with out it for 4 years on one car and 5 years on another.
