code 62

so im getting a code 62 on my 87 na auto. supposed to be a shorted/severed selenoid 1.

...that being said how do i fix it lol. ive never touched anything to do with the tranny or wiring before so im at a lose. the tsrm isnt much help from what i can find.

anyone had to deal with the code 62 before and can offer some advice?

never delt with an autotrans personaly but you could go to a local pull-a-part and try a differant valvebody.

Also pull your transpan off and look for loose/frayed/cut wires.

If all else fails I'de say it's a good time to do a r154 conversion.

dam, i was hoping it would be something Simple like a loose wire. i didnt want to pull the tranny or even the pan off lol.

my tranny drain plug is stripped and stuck in place. to pull the pan would suck without draining it first lol. or drilling out the bolt under the car with a pan full of oil ready to pour is would suck also.
