I'm Have problems with my 89 supra turbo I'm getting code 51 I only get the code when I give it gas and try to go and when I let off the code goes away.I've adjusted the tps and also changed it with another.I've tested both of them according to the trsd and they tesy good.I've also tested the voltages at the tps and they are right also.I'm wondering if it could be the ecu or ? thanks

It does it when its running, when its not running it gives me no code and yes t and E1 jumperd. It gives me code 34 when I try and drive it when the turbo spools up than it falls flat on its face.

Well, that explains why it falls on it's face. Anything that'll cause a 51 will have little effect on how the car runs. 34 is a different matter. Leaving details like that out just make it harder to help. Check your AFM and for boost leaks. Do you get a code 51 when the engine is off, the block jumpered, and pressing on the gas pedal?

Sorry about the code 34 I thought that it was caused by the code 51 problem.I guess I should mention that it seems to run better when its cold and when it warms up it dies when you let off the gas.when I checked the codes it gave me 51 so I adjusted the tps according to the trsd and it still happened.I have checked the codes when its not running and it gives me code 51 when the gas is pressed. My exaust is black also.I've been working on this problem for two weeks and can't get it good enough to even drive without using the turbo.it cut s out when it hits about 2000 rpm and when I floor it then it seems to spool up for just a second and than it falls flat.sorry about not giving everything about it.

You have an AFM problem. The AFM is one of only two things (the other I already know you have) that carries primary weight in the EFI system. It must work or the ecu will go into fail safe. If the ecu detects a loss of AFM input it substitutes a standard value based on the IDL contact so the engine can still run and some drivability maintained. Not much though. This is also why you're getting a code 51. Resolve the AFM problem. You need to get rid of code 34 before you do anything else. Let us know what you find.

Well I found the problem it was the intercooler hose broke off the botom of the turbo. Thanks for the help you pointed me in the right direction.I'm going to replace the intercooler hoses with a pipe kit and install a blow off.also I'm putting on a cold air intake on it also.I've installed 3" exaust and had the head fully ported and installed a 1.2mm hks headgasket and arp headbolts. Thanks again
