hi guys ,i have a code 42 on my ECT ECU cause my speedometer doesn't work anymore.They tell me to check the the continuity from the ECT ECU to the pink wire (SP1).if i check with a test light,should the light turn on when it's on idol speed ?

i have no idea what you mean... however, if you just fix the speedo cable, you'll be golden. it's most likely the lower portion, (shortest section) that goes right into the tranny. it's super easy to replace.
