I took my 91 turbo out with a newly installed 60-1 CT26 on it for a drive to adjust the boost level down so I don't overboost. So after i drove it for awhile to get it all warm up I floor the gas after the red light and it rev to 3500 rpm and then the car stutter twice like it hit fuel cut, I didn't have my eye on the stock boost gauge so I don't know what the psi was. Right after that the check ligh went up and it went away after I let go of the pedal. I pull over pop the hood and check to see if any of the vacum hose pop off but they were all intact. I went home and check to see what the code what and code 34-abnormal turbocharger pressure came up along with 43 which was the starter signal but that isn't my concern.

Did the turbo boost too high and caused fuel cut or what? I don't think the manual boost control can hold boost that high. I hook it up to a bike pump and test it out and the ball move and the gauge read at 12psi when the tub pop off the gauge. Before I took it out for a drive i turn the bolt outward 3 turns to reduce the boost down evern lower.

yups what he said.In the early days of my playin wif my car i had a pnumatic boost controler using 2 valves. No matter what i did i kept getting waving boost pressures, like 8psi then up to 11psi then back to 8psi etc.In winter it was worse and i would hit boost cut and constantly had to adjust it.Then i had enough and got a blitz dsbc.No more surging (except when i overboost and it drops the boost down for 3seconds for safety)

I guess I'll have to run the boost control using the method that is somewhat safeguard against boost spike and see what happen.
