I'm pulling a code 34 even after resetting the ECU (Pulling EFI fuse, I believe I tried battery as well).
So this is code 34.

34 Turbocharger Pressure

Diagnosis
* The turbocharger pressure is abnormal.

Trouble area
* Turbocharger
* Air flow meter
* ECU
* Intercooler system

Something to add to this is that I'm hitting fuel cut right at 11-12ish psi, but only on the freeway when I pull hard in 4th, or even down shift to 3rd, and does it in 5th as well after flooring it for a couple seconds. I've taken it around side streets through the first couple gears, by myself as well as with my toyota guru friend, and it doesn't hit cut then.
I'm not sure if the two are related but it seems to me that they might be?
My friend said it's possible that it's the wastegate?
Should I try another AFM? Check to make sure all my IC piping is good?

I had the same problem as you, and my theory is that 1st and 2nd gear pulls don't put as much load on the turbo. As you get up to 3rd,4th, and 5th gears, there is more load being put on the turbo which makes it suck more air and airflow sensor reads that too much air is coming in and the ecu initiates F/C. The other problem areas could be the case also, so check them out. But most likely you have the boost tuned up too high. Definetly make sure you ic system is good. Are you on stock or aftermarket ic system?

I did this mod, and it helps raise f/c a few psi. Make sure you have proper fuel mods if you do this. If not, the best bet is to just turn the boost down 'till you don't hit f/c anymore.

That's what my friend and I were considering as well that it's getting more air sucked in traveling at higher speeds and higher gears. That would make sense.
I'm running stock IC, but have a lower hard pipe, and a blow off valve and another short hard pipe.

I'm not sure if my system would be up for that, I'd like it, but I think I might just get a MBC and turn it down.

edit:
Thanks for the reply.
