I searched, but I could not find any information on what value of resistor to use to clear the code 24 when you're running a maft pro speed density. Also, which pins to jump.

I'm sure its out there, so if someone could just point me to the link?

Maybe a perminent live with a switch?? Just flick the switch to on before you key the car on.

I am pretty sure this error code pops up because the ECU does not detect the AIT sensor, which is built into the AFM. A certain value resistor, between two pins would fool the ECU.

I THINK.

I just don't know which pins, or what value.

The Intake Air Temp Sensor connects to pins THA and E2 on the ECU.

On a MAFT Pro on speed density, the ECU reacts (code 24) as if it's disconnected (which it is). The ECU as a result maintains injector volume as if IAT is at 20 deg C (68 deg F - std default). The biggest implication is if IAT is lower, the mixture may become slightly lean resulting in the motor running poorly....the opposite is true for temps above 68 deg F, the motor will run slightly rich.

If the MAFT Pro provides this input to the ECU, you don't have a problem...it's just an irritation.

Edit:
Found this:

So, it does appear there's a difference in boot speed for the MAFT Pro and the ECU causing this code. And the MAFT Pro does provide an IAT signal to the ECU. Looks like wiring the MAFT Pro to an ACC + power source will fix it.

You're welcome ;)

More drjonez assist on this code:

BTW - pb92supraturbo's post was esentially correct (before he deleted it)

I posted this question in that thread you posted first, but it needs to be approved first, so I'll ask you.

How does wiring the Maft upto 'acc' help with anything? 'Acc' drops power when the key is turned to the 'start' position, while 'ign' retains it. How does the maft pro powering off as the key's in start help the problem?

I'm going to bring this back up.

I talked with Dr.J and figured out what he was talking about as far as wiring goes.

Now my Maft Pro comes on with 'acc' and says on during 'start'

When I pause at 'acc' to give the maft pro a chance to load, then start the engine I STILL throw a code 24.

I verified 100% that the output on the maft pro is connected to THA.

I'm not sure what else could be the problem here.....

I've unplugged the ECU for 5 minutes (testing something else) and the code still comes back, so its not just a problem of me not clearning the ECU correctly.
