Ok so my car has been giving me trouble ever since i swalped my 7mgte into a new shell.

When i check for codes i get a code 14, somethin with the ignition... The car tries go start, just starts to read vacuum then dies. Wants to fire up but cant for some reason.

Iv done all the ohm and voltage teting, everythin is fine.

Im running an 87 harness AND ECU in an 89 car. The is one plug that doesnt plug into my 87 harness, but that goes to the 89 body harness, so it shouldnt affect the start up.

Its so close to startin up. Idk wat the hell it could be.

Let me know what you guys think!

Thx

Redacted per Title 18 USC Section 798
Loss of ignition confirmation. Signal IGf. ECU tells igniter to fire coil pack then igniter sends signal IGf back to the ECU saying the pack was fired. If several IGfs in a row are not received by the ECU it shuts off the injectors and sets code 14.

I highly doubt it was the oil.

Was the engine running well before you swapped it? Or was it used and you never saw it run till now?

No it ran fine when i first got it and had it in my 87 for a couple days.. But i only drove it a couple times. It wasnt ready for the streets yet... Then i swapped it over to my 89 and it ran fine for a bit, then started to hear the noise.. Prolly around 3 k rpm... Let me say that before i swapoed it, the oil pump pulley shaft wore down a metal ring that sits infront of the retainer bracket thing and right behind the pulley causing the pulley to dip back in a lil bit... It still engaged the pump gear inside the block, but just barely... Nver had a oil guage on it before to check up on it. Oil pressure now is still good though.
