code 14 and 31 help

i done the check today and 14,31 codes came up wot should i try need a little help. the car engine managment light will come on and the car wil cut out or if its ticking over sometimes it will come on then die out but fire straight back and the ecu light will go back off its got me well puzzled
would love a little help lads cheers george

Just take out the ecu thats what i did

Check your ignitor. Code 14 refers to that. Possibly the connections or the ignitor itself. Try another one if you have access to it.

Taking out your ecu might be a little drastic! Definitely will have problems then!!!

Do the easy things first by thoroughly checking your igniter and afm. If they are not the problem I was getting this combo when my timing belt jumped time. In your case it definitely sounds like it is electrical.
