Its been an on going issue just need some ideas/help!
I am getting a code 12 I cleaned the cam sensor took the pickups out and took some steel wool and wiped them down same with the rotor and gear, regapped to .008-.016 and everything inbetween where the specs say to have them gapped but every time I try to start it immediately flashes code 12! the resistance from the cps at the ecu is 159-164 kinda depends where the gap is set at which is also in spec. So I guess one of my questions would be even with the cps being in spec can it still be bad? or am I needing to check something else out like could the ecu be taking a crap? My next venture is going to be taking some wire directly off the cps and put it to the back of the ecu to eliminate a possible wire harness issue! All the wiring diagrams I saw should that from the cps went directly to the ecu so I am hoping that is true, when I run those wires! Any insight will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks Dustin
