So I just got done with a BHG job, reassembled everything and took it for a test drive. Turns out the radiator was cracked, but that's been fixed. While on the test drive I threw Code 11. It didn't happen immediately, about halfway though the drive around the block...I'd say about 3/4 of a mile. I checked the ground point on the back of the intake manifold and it's tight. Checked all the connections that I unplugged from the harness and they all seem to be fine.

I pulled the EFI fuse to clear it, and just got back from another drive. It seems to throw it about 3 minutes into the drive, when the temp gauge rises to just about the second mark up. The car continued to run normally (or so it would seem) on the half mile trip back home. Anybody know how I could go about fixing this?

ECU(+B)

Diagnosis

* Momentary interruption in power supply to ECU.

Trouble Area

* Ignition switch circuit
* Ignition switch
* Main relay circuit
* Main relay
* ECU

I've checked all around the fuseblock, and all the connections in that area, and they all seem fine. There is a piece broken off the CPS wires, but it's always been like that and never hurt anything. All my other under-hood connections seem to be tight too.

Another point, when i took the harness out i didnt bother disconnecting the two wires going to the top of the tranny. instead i cut/stripped/and put connectors on them...which are tight as well. it also isnt dependant on cooling temp. that and it doesnt seem to store the code, the CEL doesn't come on when the car is started, even if it threw the code on the last drive. I'll have to check and see if it comes on when the car rests at idle for some time, but I am thoroughly confused on this one.

thanks for your help...heh your obviously better the pompous ass lol.

anyway, code 11 is the least of my worries now...I just blew my brand spanking new headgasket. apparently even 90ft/lbs on ARP hardware won't hold a composite gasket from blowing at 10psi (id go lower, but I don't have a lighter wastegate spring). Oh well now I have a great excuse to rip everything out and make myself a build thread!

I don't think the repair was done properly. The composite gasket has no problem whatsoever holding 10 psi. 10 psi and detonation or overheating is different. So is a head and block that are not flat.

it wasn't done properly in the firstplace! I could literally feel some of the machining marks with my finger, and that is just plain unacceptable. The head and block were checked for warpage, and were within spec, and there was no ping or anything to say there was detonation...plus it was running just over 17psi beforehand, but then again I could have gotten a batch of bad gas.

....and yeah I killed 2 supras in a year, but the white one still perplexes me. Maybe the 7M gnomes just decided they didn't like me. Live and learn I guess, at least now I have a daily driver so I can devote money to mods and proper solutions instead of money to band-aid fixes to get me to work and back, which has been my ultimate goal for quite a while.

I just had a code 11 causing a no start condition. Turns out the coilpacks were bad. Ground was good, got a little spark at the plugs...but I swapped them out anyway and it started right up.
