a clutch on a 300zx i know books out at 6 hours of labor. I am assuming it is somewhere along that time length. For the beginner it could be a difficult task. On the other hand that is for a 300zx, im not sure what it is for a supra but im assuming it along that time length. Obviously we know the tranny has to come down. If you don't have a trans. jack it can be tough for sure. My neighbor was able to do my clutch for my 240sx by resting the trans on his chest and wheel himself out with the creeper. The Z was different, he had to use the trans jack, much bigger transmission.

Myself and one buddy did the clutch replacement in my Supra in about 6 hours total. It's not that difficult - you'll need several feet of wobble ended extentions, and some well oiled Ninja hands for the bolts on the top of the bellhousing. Other than that it's pretty basic.

I just used a floorjack to lower the tranny.

yeah don't try lowering the r154 on your chest.... its heavy and stuffs

also.. be sure to loosen your motor mounts a schoshe..then slightly raise the front of your motor so the trans leans down some..making it easier to access those bolts and slide the clutch and trans off

yep tranny should come totally out. along with the exaust and driveshaft. check out the online tsrm, that has everything. I've been told that the car has to be up on 4 jackstands to get the tranny out.
i have a spec stage 2 sitting in my room right now. i plan on putting it in over the summer. :icon_bigg

I did my clutch replacement in my garage. Used two jacks to lower the tranny. Followed TSRM per every line. You will need a 2' long 3/8" extension and a good quality swivel joint. Help from a second person is very needed.. dont forget to drain the fluid first.. also need to resurface the flywheel.. make sure you consider enough time for all this..
