I am running the 1UZFE 4.0 V8 motor, with a custom flywheel and custom bellhousing using a R154 tranny out of the Turbo MKIII. Running about 12-15 lbs of boost on the stock block i am expecting over 500rwhp. I need something that will take 650-700 crank HP as i am shooting for 550-600rwhp. What brands, type of clutch(ceramic, single or double plate? ect ect) and prices am i looking at? Thanks

John

I think you should direct this to Lextreme.com. They have the V8 Supra swap section. I dont know that you will get your answer there any better here, but it is just some more info.

Well reason i am asking here is because i am using a supra tranny, so the clutch kit must be for a supra. I figured a supra forum would be able to give me advice on what clutches for supras are good and what ones i should watch out for, also what my options are, thanks

Hopefully you are looking for those numbers in torque, as clutches don't come rated for hp.

Horsepower freaks can hook you up, I think that's where Duane picked up his, and it hold fine at higher levels than that. They were very helpful on the phone, too.

I went with the horsepowerfreaks bronze clutch using the ACT pressure pressure plate for fairly light pedal effort. Its capable and proven to hold 600rwhp.

The RPS Stage 3 is the best one you're gonna get your hands on. Will nealey
put down 730RWHP with the same exact clutch I'm selling. I've used prolly 20
DIFFRENT clutch sets, and the RPS stage 3 is the only one I'd trust nowadays.
I haven't ever had a problem, and its the defacto standard for 550+rwhp in my
opinion. They are normally very $$$$ tho 8-(. BUT I'm selling it pretty cheap.
