clutch switch

hey guys so my car doesnt turn over. its a 87 n/a soon to be turbo
well anyways the mechanic said i need the part that gets pushed when you push the clutch pedal so when thats button is pushed the car turns on.
is that the slave cylinder or what?
my mechanic says its the clutch switch but no one knows about it.
help plz

Its called the clutch start switch. Its up under the dash at the top of the pedal. you can see it here.
