I've searched the forum, and really don't feel like reading 30 pages of people selling clutches. I need some advice.

On my new supra it has a aluminum flywheel and a stage 2 6 puck clutch.. Now, the problem is I hate it! When releasing the clutch in 1st gear you don't even give it gas and u cant feather the clutch at ALL.. its either no grab, or ALL grab! I can't stand it! Right now i would RATHER drive a beat up celica 5spd that i feel comfortable with until i solve this problem.

My question is, What does the stock clutch feel like?? If I go to a stock clutch will it solve my problems of not being able to feather it and have fun? This feels like it would work wonders on the drag strip where you just hold a high rpm and release as fast as possible but meh.. What should I do?! I do not have a lot of money, im a college student that has bills..

Talk to Sean @Titan and tell him you want an RPS street disk... 6 puck is an aggresive disk... A full street disk engages alot smoother, and would work better for you... Instead of having six pucks, it has a full face surface that you can engage smoothly... What kind of pressure plate are you using?

Well, i believe its a stock pressureplate. My bro said it Might have been resprung at a higher tension, but I am unsure.

I am not an agressive driver at ALL, i do not plan to be burning my tires or roasting my clutch etc.. I just need something that I can drive to work and college and be reliable yet comfortable for me. I get stuck at street lights a lot so this 6 puck is horrible! It seems I stall the engine 3 out of 5 times! Sure I can spend a few weeks and try to "get used to it".. but i am tired of the chatter, and the fast engagement.

My plan is to go stock. New stock toyota clutch, used (good condition) flywheel/pressureplate.

Sean is on here, his screen name is 2JZMKIII... Tell him I sent you... Talk to him and see what he can get you a street disk for... I had an ACT street disk before I switch, and it was REALLY smooth... I loved it... Great for daily driving... Just toss the 6 puck... And stay away from stock... If you can spring a few extra bucks for a performance disk, do it, cuz it'll be worth it in the long run...
