Clutch pedal hanging up

When shifting brisquely during enthusiastic acceleration, the clutch pedal will sometimes hange up midway through its travel. I have replaced both the slave and master cylinders, the clutch is a Spec clutch. It feels similar to a failing slave or master cylinder. I don't see any leaks around the seals, there is no air in the system and under normal driving I never experience this condition.

Any ideas?

Mine does this too, but it will do it any time and gets worse over time. Also have a Spec clutch. I haven't gotten a chance to replace master and slave yet, though.

It sticks right at the point of disengagement, at least on my car

That is what is happening to mine, it hangs up right at the point of disengagement. I usually pop the pedal back up with my foot after which it will work normally for a time

more than likely it has nothing to do with the clutch or the clutch hydralic system, but everything to do with the clutch pedal...

Same deal with mine. It does it whether I kick the clutch or ease out on it, as well.
