Yes, I know, its almost dead already if the clutch is slipping. Realistically though, what is a rough estimate mileage wise a clutch can last after intial signs of slipping. Im using an RPS3200 with sprung 6-puck. Right now it only slips in 4th or 5th gear at about 10psi. Typical driving patterns, mixed between highway and city environment. I baby the clutch as much as possible.

The problem is i simply dont have the resources (both monetarily and a place to do it) to change it right now, so I'm trying to plan. I need to at least make it through the holidays and get a replacement 6 puck in there, no way can I afford a new PP too.

I am not certain on a 6 puck, but my stock one started slipping before I did my rebuild last winter and I drove it for about 5,000 miles... still was drivable when I tore it down. 1st thing I would do if I were you is stay out of boost, by either modifying your WG setup or controller... It will sure last longer.

JJ beat me to it...

*mumbles something about RPS sucking*

Stick a stock disk in there and turn the boost back down. One a clutch starts slipping you're on borrowed time and you're only risking major damage. Case in point (stock clutch that started failing the day before, tried going down the street and it slipped so bad I barely made it home)

Exploding flywheel isn't something I'd mess with (I like my legs)

All you need is a piece of land. Done a tranny twice in dirt and rocks.

Not to hard. Find a friend and get it done. Shit atleast replace the disc. I think stock one is like 70$ or cheaper. Should be able to slide the tranny out use a floor jack and keep it up swap the disc and put it back shouldnt take more than 3 hrs if your quick with hand tools. Also turn down the boost if its your dd.

Forgot to mention, that's the flywheel in that photo, but the pressure plate will get just as bad. The more you drive it while slipping, the more likely you're going to glaze/overheat/crack them.

10 psi is babying the clutch as much as possible? Quit doing that and it'll last a surprisingly long time.

It was merely a test to see what I should set my boost controller at. Unfortunately I can't set it for that low of boost with these freezing temperatures lately.

Unfortunately I think I'm going to need a new flywheel. I know that after the fire (only a year of use) mine was toast. The heat fractures from the extreme aggressiveness of the clutch setup were extensive, though this could be in combination with the fact I learned how to drive stick on this car and clutch years ago.
