Chances of slipping are not that high with a new disc and pressure plate. But it will probably chatter a good amount. As long as you are in that far, resurface the flywheel. It is as cheap as turning a rotor.

I changed my clutch and left my the fly wheel alone and i started to slip at 4500rpm ....... Do it right and get that fly wheel re-surfaced i had to pull my tranny twice and i went 6puck ceramic and i did not even break it in and i have no slipping as of yet.

if you're doing the clutch, definatly get the flywheel turned. (or just go with a lightweight unit. ;)) fidanza FTW. :) also, keep an eye out for tiny little stress cracks, or off-color.
