Ever since I bough my car I've been getting a "clunk" noise when ever I let off teh accelerator pedal. Then again when I give it some gas.

Only does it when I'm driving the car. Sounds ike its comming from the rear more or less.

Any ideas?

correct me if im wrong, the preload on the differntial. Put your car in gear and go under your car and see if you can rotate your drive shaft back and forth. That play in the driveline is in the differential, I have the same problem and I'll tackle that another day.

I'll try this @ work when I can get the car on the lift on Monday.

Anything else I should check for?

This sounds silly, but check your wheel nuts... We had the same type of noise a few weeks back... Took it straight to the workshop (thinking it was the diff), got it up on the hoist, and it turned out to be 4 loose wheel nuts :nono:

My lug nuts are tight, I just took my wheels down to swap my sawblades and tires to the correct side. I torque all my lugnuts to 80ft/lbs.

Yeah I have a feeling it has to do with the differential mounts.

Trans. mount, engine mounts, carrier bearing, loose pinion nut, worn bushings. Just get it up on the lift, and check everything. I'd start with the trans. mount and carrier bearing.
