What exactly do you mean by not secure?

If the little C clip that the clutch release fork is loosened it the bolts will break and worse case you have to pull it and repair the bolt holes. I've had this happen to me out of no where. Remove the driver side clutch housing cover, and see if you can feel the bolts and see if their broke or backed off. I think it's possible to tighten them with the fork removed and some finess. Not positive but I think their 10mm their are only 2 of them. Hope this helps and Good luck.

The C clip was bent back and the fork would not snap in.
The fork was held only by the pressure of the slave cylinder. I fixed the C clip now the fork snaps in by itself.
But before i reinstall the trans I want to make sure there is nothing else in there that would cause the snap ring to snap off of the release hub to the pressure plate.

Make sure you use new snap rings if you think you really need them.

I'm getting real sick of this car If I didn't have alot in it I would burn it to the ground. This time pressed the clutch pedal in and pop there goes the snap ring to the pressure plate. Tommorow will be the 3rd time pulling the transmission out since Saturday. Any ideas anyone? what the hell is causing the snap ring to pop off the pressure plate?
