cluch fluid sluge

well iv been have a problume with my cluch for the last few day so i pulled my car off the road to fix it any way i pulled of the cluch master cylinder lid and found this black sluge ok found the problume now how do i fix it what would you guys use to clean this crude and what dot fluid would you recommend

The way I did it was: I removed the cylinder from the firewall. Drained it of course, removed the line as well. Ran a lint free rag down inside the bowl and scrubbed, doesnt hurt to use a baby bottle brush. You can us brake fluid to flush it as well. That sludge caused mine to leak. Any Dot3 brake fluid from a good company will work.
