Climate control Zone buttons dont stay on

When I want to change the zone for the climate control I can push the button but it doesnt stay on just turns off as soon as I let off the button. Sometimes I can get them to stay on if I set there and push the button a hundred times, kinda annoying when driving down the road trying to change the zones. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it, if so please tell me how

I had that prob in my Subaru. If it's the same, then you have to take the CC unit out, pop all the buttons out and clean them. Then pop 'em back in. Should work. Worked for me, after all...

there are little white plastic tabs that slide into little copper prongs. I guess it gets clogged up with grit. But yea press in the 6 tabs equally to slide off the face and i used non oil based graphite lock cleaner to squirt in there and brush a little and work the button. the key non oil cleaner/lube will help to wash out the grit and the liquid evaporates and leaves graphite as a lubricant which is not oil based so it will not collect dirt. SOme electronics spay cleaner may work too.
