Don't mean to thread jack but barkz can you explain what wire tucking is? Is it just relocating/rerouting the wires my engine isn’t plumed in yet so this would be a good time for me to do this I have no problem rerouting the wires but I don’t want to cut into the harnesses to remove excess wire. I searched and found one other person who asked a question and got no answers and reread your original thread when you were starting. BTW how did court go?
You're right on the money with what a wire tuck is. You literally try to "tuck wires". It's not as easy in our cars as it is in other cars, but you can hide a fair amount of cables. I'm in the middle of doing one but I can't find my camera anywhere. A few things I did.
Made the O2 sensor plug come out of the harness early so it just extends about an inch to plug into the O2 sensor really fast instead of going all around the engine. Removed the entire cruise control system which cleaned up quite a bit. Where the cruise control used to be, I placed the igniter since it's easier to get to there instead of hiding it inside the fender or something. I will probably place the fuel injector resistor next to the coil igniter. There's also a blue box that serves as a ground of sorts that goes attached below the igniter in its stock location; I moved that along with the igniter as well. Since I went with the 2JZ-GE COP mod, I made the cable that hooks up to the coil pack harness come out from behind the head instead of going around as well. I also removed from inside the engine bay all of the plugs that were associated with the cruise control system and are now tucked inside the fender where they come out from, leaving only the brake master cylinder cable there. I have the 12v fuel pump mod as well so I tricked the fuel pump relay how shaeff said to do it and hid that as well.
Can't remember off the top of my head what else I did. The next best thing you can do is run the main harness below the intake manifold instead of over the top.
