Well, I never used a "CLAY BAR" before... but I gave it a try yesterday with the old Supra! This car sat OUTDOORS under an OAK TREE in the SUN, RAIN, SNOW, ICE, BIRD-SHLIT, and TREE SAP (from overhanging PINE) for a NUMBER of YEARS!!! (LOTSa neglect... :-? ) A couple washes since I got it running for the first time in FIVE years over the Memorial Day weekend, but STILL very "dull" and rough in spots. AMAZING how well the CLAY BAR worked, along with the MOTHERS kit which also came with some "Carnauba Wax".
I don't know if these shots help... but considering it's an 18 year old car... I'm pretty happy with the outcome!
(Note: The LOWER section panels didn't get the bar... as I ran out of light last night... but they DID get "wiped" down a little.)
I'm DEFINITELY going to use the CLAY BAR again in the future! Very good product for improving your surface finish, I think...
NOTE: For "comparison", the shot in the SIG looks almost DULL compared to the shots above! UNBELIEVABLE! (I thought the SIG looked good before! ...time for another photo shoot?)
NOTE: I pulled the shots from a post at Solaraguy... where I sport an '04 'lara... I hope nobody minds.
