cigarette lighter probs, a lil help?

Ya my cigarette lighter dose not work at all but the ring around it lights up. is there a fuse or something and if there is where is it. also if its not the fuse and its a bad socket how hard is it to change?

I had a similar problem with my car. If you are getting light around the cig lighter and your radio works its not an issue with the fuse since they are on the same circuit. On mine it ended up being the lighter itself since I tested for power to the lighter. I switched out the interior metal body and it worked. Its easy to do. Just pull out the center bezel and unscrew the retaining nut on the back of it and it slides out.

You try making sure it is plugged in yet? The light ring is a small plug that attaches to a flat terminal on the edge of the lighter housing, not sure if it is what powers the cig lighter though...

Just yank it out like you did the light failure box. I mean who needs it right?
