well im trying to figure out some electrical issues with the car. alot of people tell me to check the ground wires for the car. i actually changed the whole set of ground wires with some 4guage wire i had laying around. assuming something went bad somewhere with the wires themselves how does one go about checking if the wires are in good shape or making proper contact. is there a test i can do to check the wires? i have a multimeter.. is there a certain setting i need to put the multimeter on? how about ccertain numbers i need to see indicating a good or bad wire/connection? thanks a bunch:icon_bigg

All you can do is to check for continuity by using the resistance function on the multimeter. The higher the number, the more resistance exist, and the poorer the connection is.
- Make sure than there isn't any paint between the ground points.
- Run the ground wires to one central location, preferable the battery post, or to a nice surface on the body if the your battery have been relocated to the rear of the car.
