I won this auction and thought the turbo belonged to a 7m because the guy was unsure of what car it belonged to. I also thought it belonged to a 7m because i've heard of you guys doing the 60-1 and 10 deg clipping to the stock ct26. After further scrutiniznation the turbo does look like it belongs onto a 3sgte. Heres my question. Can i swap the interchangeable parts from my stock ct withe this one in order to make it work with my 7m engine? THanks!

Looks like a Supra CT26 to me ;)
And the numbers (42010) in the manifold flange match a turbine housing I have right here in my hand. The water lines look bent though....

Isn't the compressor outlet facing the wrong direction?

Good eyes

It's gonna be a hair dryer for the cylinder head in that position. All you have to do it remove the compressor housing snap ring and rotate 90 deg where it's pointing down like it should. It is a Supra CT26 though. I was looking at the bolt pattern on the turbine housing...that's the big difference for the CT26.

The CT26 for the MR2 (if my memory is correct) have 5 bolts on the downpipe flange...the compressor housings are the same except for the wastegate actuator fitting location (which is no biggie).

That turbo housing is probably not going to rotate unless you heat the exhaust side with a torch first. You have to heat the exhaust side quickly without heating up the intake side. Then it will come apart easily.

He needs to rotate both the compressor housing (intake side) and turbine housing now that I look at it closer. The center section needs to have the water fitting on top, oil inlet/outlet on bottom. Once that is done, the compressor side needs to be rotated where the outlet points down. The compressor uses a snap ring to secure to the center section, the turbine uses a 2 piece bracket to secure.

Have fun...bigarron is alluding to these things usually have a little rust holding them together ;)

Edit: Steve - Better lucky than good...LOL

he shouldn't have to heat the exhaust housing. none of the ct26's need the exhaust housings clocked differently to work on any other toyota.
