So after reading 208 threads on removing the charcoal canister :3d_frown: I've got a question.
Has anyone actually opened our charcoal canister, to see what's in there?
Reason I ask, is I need to relocate mine - I was DAMN surprised by how heavy the beastly thing was! I know I can find a JDM canister to use (plastic) and I probably will, but I'm wondering -
If you look at the vacuum lines on the 7MGTE, you'll see the vapors come into the canister, with the canister having a vacuum line that runs to the BVSV, and into the intake - now, under boost, what is keeping the turbo from pressurizing the fuel tank?
I further wonder if perhaps NOTHING is preventing this, and that perhaps this is even engineered that way. Think about it - the fuel cap is sealed, yes? As is the tank. You pressurize the tank with a little positive pressure, and you're going to ease the work that the fuel pump has to do!
Thoughts? Comments? I have to relocate mine, either way
