I've read the SOGI thread and searched around but I cant find a full in explanation. The SOGI thread definetly seems like it is missing a few steps or some key information. So does anyone have a really detailed explanation?

Drain cold radiator and block. Refill with 50/50 distilled water and an HOAT coolant. Imho G-05 is best. Run engine to temp with heater on. Top up the overflow tank after a few days with the same mix. Monitor thereafter. Then every year or two drain and refill radiator only. Add a coolant filter if you're smart. It's not rocket science.

Once again another incomplete vague procedure. Ahah. I'm looking for something like step by step.

I'm sorry, I generally try to give everyone a lot of leeway, but in this case if you can't fill in the gaps you might want to *seriously* consider paying someone the $30 to do the job.

The two best options for flushing the block are:
1) Feeding clean water into the heater hose which connects to the heater control valve. (I prefer this location)
2) Filling via the thermostat housing.

If you're trying to flush the whole system you'll also need to flush the heater core.

To me that was slightly vague, but im sure i can do it. I'm not going to go off on you because i dont personally know you and that would just be disrespectful. I dont feel that your statement "You belong on SF" is completely correct, I always saw SM as a place where anyone could help with out being insulted rather than SF where people are often chewed out, lack for a better term. Honestly I like instructions, they make things more clear to me. You should have enough respect to not say something like that or you can go back to SF, I dont mean to be disrespectful but thats just how i feel.

Open the hole on the bottom, close the hole, refil. You can even buy premix if JJ's suggestion is to much.

edited for decenies sake, I am done, don't worry

I think this has been gone over fairly recently... Another way to do it, drain coolant from the bottom hose, take off your thermostat neck and thermo too, hook up a water hose, put it in the backside of where the thermo was, put your heater on full blast, start the car, and let it run for a couple of minutes to circulate all new fresh water, turn it off, replace the thermostat with a new one (190 degree thermo), new gasket for it, put it in the right way, assemble everything back together, fill up radiator, run around the block in the car until the thermo is open, then top it off, fill up overflow to correct level, and keep an eye on the coolant for the next week and refil once all excess air is bled out.

1. Put the car on jack stands
2. go under the car and on the exhaust side near the top of the engine in the back is a bolt that will drain the coolant from the block.
3. On the drivers side of the radiator there is a plastic plug that will drain the radiator.
4. pull off the radiator cap and open the overflow tank, wait for a while while it all drain out (keep it in a bucket to dispose of later)
5. Then put the plugs back in
6. fill up the radiator with 50/50 toyota coolant mix and put some in the overflow too.
7.turn on the car and fill the radiator more as necessary, make sure it heats up to operating temperature so that you know enough coolant is in the car because the thermostat will open and coolant will go from the radiator to the motor.

hope that helps because if you've never done anything on the supra before it might be a little confusing.

but seriously, the Service Manual tells you exactly what to do and you were given the link to it.

next time just go from there and if you get stuck, then ask questions.

dont forget to burp it? or is that only when you change the rad.

i know burping the car is unnecessary but since you have the car on jack stands already why not do everything correctly.
