Centralia WA - and Supras

WOW! What an amazing turnout! I counted darned close to 40 Supras that made the journey out to the middle of nowhere (between Portland and Seattle) today. Supras came from as far away as Eugene Oregon, BC, and Eastern Washington.

I arrived at the Portland caravan meeting point a bit after 10 and found quite a few Supras waiting for me. We hit the road a few minutes later.

We rolled in to Centralia about 25 minutes before noon (PDT) and found our spots. Over the next hour the lot continued to fill up.

With a MkII specific gathering on Sunday we were not sure that we would even see a single one show up. I was glad to see some show up - that aren't elitist snobs like the others that blew us off to go do their own thing. ;)

I saw several familiar faces - still don't remember names - and met some really great new people.

I still say that we have some of the nicest Supra owners around. I didn't see any elitist attitudes - except for those MkII snobs sitting over in the corner thumbing their noses at the rest of us. ;)

Of course it ended much too quickly. I could have chatted longer. Oh well... there's always next time.

I'll try to get pics up soon.

Your car looks much whiter than my can Dylan, Nice pictures. I think name tags and sm screen names would be a good idea for the next one..

I had a great time, the drive was a bit long in the morning, but the trip home was fun. Of all the weird coincidences to have happen, I ended up cravaning most of the way to the border with another pair of Mk3s - that weren't at the meet! I just found them on the freeway and we drove together for ~100 miles.

Nice to see a bunch of you, it's always fun to get together with my Supra brothers and sisters.

The meet was well worth the drive and gettin up at 4:45 in the morning i'll say that.
it was nice meeting so many people from the forum even though i'm just now figuring out who the peoplei met are on the forum. The caravan down to centralia had to be the best part, Tom we caught your 120mph flyby on camera just great, btw thnx for the food and a taste of that ddp. Should definatly do this again except with a multilane highway with less traffic. nice to see so many mkIII's at once definatly got some attention.

anyway here's a handful of the shots my camera caught.

what a filthy piece of crap 1JZ. That guy should be ashamed of himself for even showing up with that dirtbox. I mean lookit: the engine bay isn't even the same color as the car.

Yeah, that was a killer meet. I was at the Vegas dyno day/drags and this was definitely better. Lot's of cool conversations and laughs. I'm starting to put SNs to faces....I was trying to figure out why a lot of you looked familiar but I couldn't quite nail down where I met you before. One was a MKII dude I met at a car audio shop in Silverdale and another was Lowbudgettarga, whom I bought a front bumper cover from a while back. Anyway it was a good day, even if a bit long...430am to 1140pm :aigo:

Thanks a bunch to Tom and his son Brent (?) for the hospitality and pizza! :bigthumb: Thanks to those who organized and showed up. And thanks to Luis (americanjebus) for the ride there and back. I need to get my car moving!

Oh yeah....sunscreen is a good thing....at the end of the day my face matched my red MKIII shirt. :icon_conf

I look forward to the next one!
