Recently the guys at E-Shift worked on my car, they installed a catch can, as you can see the valve covers vents are going to the catch can and at the bottom of the catch can, it's getting it's vacuum source from the intake pipe. I spoke to a bunch of Supra owners at the NE2K7 and they mentioned to me that it's hooked up wrong. With the vacuum source at the bottom, it's just sucking the oil right back in.
Before on my old setup (no catch can, just hooked up stock), I was not shooting any blue smoke on decel. Ever since the catch can has been installed, it's been shooting blue smoke. The guys at the supra meet mentioned that I should just disconnect the vacuum source and run the car like that, I did just that. Later today I went for a photo shoot, as I opened the engine bay, I saw oil on the catch can. After inspecting the catch can, the oil was around the catch can seal where the alan screws are holding it down.
My question is, what could've caused this? I passed all compression tests and leak down tests. Could it be a faulty catch can or install? Or is this a blow by problem? Let me know, thanks.
PS. Sorry for not showing my engine bay, don't want anyone to see it just yet.
